NOTICE: Public Meeting on Caribbean Drive Parking and Trail Access Enhancements Project

You are invited to attend a community update meeting on Tuesday, September 19 at 6:30 p.m., during which interested agencies and the public can learn more about the Caribbean Drive Parking and Trail Access Enhancements Project. The meeting will be held at the Washington Park Building, 840 W. Washington Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086.

The Sunnyvale Cleanwater Program is the City of Sunnyvale’s long-term capital improvement program to renovate the Sunnyvale Water Pollution Control Plant (Plant) through a series of projects and upgrades in order to continue serving the community for decades to come. The Caribbean Drive Parking and Trail Access Enhancements Project is one of the first projects that will be constructed under this Program to enhance parking and access to the San Francisco Bay Trail (Bay Trail) and accommodate the new Plant improvements. This will be accomplished by creating new Bay Trail public access and parking along Caribbean Drive and vacating the existing public access and parking along Carl Road. The new access point will increase the available parking for Bay Trail users and will improve bicycle and pedestrian access along Caribbean Drive.

If you are unable to attend this meeting and have questions or would like to be added to the mailing list for future meeting notifications, please call Sunnyvale Public Works Project Engineering at (408) 730-7605, or email Allie Hood at ahood@sunnyvale.ca.gov.
