RFP FOR WPCP CONDITION ASSESSMENT IS BROADCASTING

The City of Sunnyvale is excited to announce that they have issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to perform a condition assessment of Sunnyvale’s Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). In 2019, an updated condition assessment was completed on the secondary and tertiary treatment facilities, and the influent sewer pipelines. This project complements that assessment with an inspection of facilities not included in the 2019 assessment and will include an assessment of yard piping condition at the WPCP’s water, wastewater, gas, secondary and tertiary facilities.

The City has budgeted $1M for this study.  Proposers are asked to progressively define a best-value assessment for the available budget.  The scope includes:

1.            Desktop data collection

2.            Risk-based prioritization of assets to be inspected

3.            Detailed work planning, including inspection techniques and logistics

4.            Condition assessment

5.            Presentation of inspection results and recommendations for rehabilitation/replacement

Proposers' ability to realistically estimate the cost of recommended improvements (as a range) is key to project success.
