Cost Share and O&M Agreements with Valley Water for Perimeter Wall Approved

The City is constructing a perimeter wall around the WPCP. A portion of the proposed wall overlaps with Valley Water’s flood control objectives for the Sunnyvale East and West Channels. Thus, the City and Valley Water collaborated on a single wall design that satisfies the criteria of both agencies, while also providing economic benefit and serving the public’s best interest.
In November, the City approved a cost share agreement and an operation and maintenance (O&M) agreement between both agencies, marking a monumental step forward for implementing this collaborative project.
